Dear Jennifer,
This is one scenario I would like to see:
Secondary and post-secondary schools in Malta developed as centres ofexcellence in (a combination of) ICT and business studies (the two subjectsshould be seen as complementary) where emphasis is also placed on ThinkingSkills, Innovation and Leadership. The basic objective would be tohave trained and skilled personnel in BOTH ICT and Business Studies. A sub-objective could be to attract students from other countries to theseschools as a result of which more synergy, contacts and healthy competitioncould be generated.

DearColleagues, Wewould like to initiate an on-line discussion on alternative futures forMalta in ICT. We would like you to send us up to ten different scenariothemes for Malta in ICT. Thesecan be scenario themes focused on:
- specific niche areas (e.g. Malta as ane-learning hub)
- or ICT-enabled initiatives (e.g. on-linegambling)
- or telecomms-related initiatives
- or any other ideas in general !!
Ideally, this exercise should notinvolve too much time - maximum 30 minutes - just jot down what comes immediatelyto mind. So send us your feedback if possible by Thursday 22 August. Lookingforward to hearing from you, Jennifer
