The foresight activities to be held in Estonia will focus on 2 themes - Information Society Technologies and Biotechnology. The following pages illustrate in some detail the ideas behind these two pilots.

The project "Information Society Technologies Foresight in Estonia" focuses on innovation and industrial policy development in the context of IST advancement in the coming 10-15 years. The foresight action builds on the results of the 5FP IST project Estonian eVikings and is carried out jointly by the Institute of Baltic Studies, Archimedes Foundation, PRAXIS Center for Policy Studies, and stakeholders from industry, academia and political institutions.

The project "Biotechnology Foresight in Estonia" concentrates on developing innovation and industrial policy measures in discussion and cooperation with stakeholders from biotechnology industry, academic and political institutions. The project is a joint project by Institute of Baltic Studies and PRAXIS Center for Policy Studies, and stakeholders from industry, academia and political institutions.
